First Contact

I thought I saw him today. He was in a supermarket isle examining eco-bulbs. Could it be? His wife wasn’t with him. I had always imagined that they would do the shopping together; that they would hold hands in public. In retrospect the man resembled Dawkins more so at profile:

My name is D William Mings and I am creating a documentation of my crusade to contact Dawkins. If you make contact with Dawkins, I urge you to get in touch with me so I can update the “Contact Dawkins” blog. For those of you who are less familiar with Dawkins, I will now outline a brief description of him:

Genius.

I often find the internet to be a wholly hostile environment. Not in any overt manner, but in its sterility; authenticity is the only concept is not discovered easily on the web. I do not accept that contacting Dawkins is as simple as sending an email to support@richarddawkins.net. The misnomer represents a wider issue, but for the purposes of this blog it is sufficient to focus on what this means for Dawkins and I. This blog is about a journey. It is a journey to Dawkins. It is a pilgrimage of sorts, and yet there is no point of arrival; that is to say that I will make a journey, but only you, the reader, will reach a conclusion.

At the risk of undermining the substantial body of work that solidifies Dawkins’ status as the key proponent in Atheism, I will strive to separate any semi-pious metaphorical semantic from this blog; but in my defence I firmly believe Dawkins would know as well as anybody that the words of the heart are the hardest to craft. Wish me luck on my journey, as I only wish of Dawkins.

In solidarity and service,

  2. I am God and I exist. I see myself therefore I am. I am not a mythical creation of self interested priests, sexual flagellators, perverts and despots from now and ages past. I see you and your sins and I forgive you as you forgive yourself. I am all knowing and see your future as a figment of my imagination not yours. Repent and seek forgiveness

  3. Sir, I do agree that you are not a mythical creation of self interested priests, sexual flagellators, perverts and despots from now and ages past; I do agree, sir. You are not a mythical creation - you are merely a creation.
